Omner

Omner, son of King Mosiah, was, like his brothers Ammon, Aaron, and Himni, a stalwart missionary of the gospel of Jesus Christ in the period around 90 to 77 BC. At first these four young men, along with Alma the Younger, were “numbered among the unbelievers” and were “the very vilest of sinners”. But the Lord sent an angel to bring them back onto the strait and narrow pathway so that they could become instruments in His hands to bring about much good in their own land as well as among the Lamanites. Omner accompanied his three brothers on a fourteen-year mission to reclaim thousands of Lamanites and bring them into the fold of Christ. Later, he assisted Ammon and his brethren to secure an area south of Bountiful where those Lamanites (then known as the people of Anti-Nephi-Lehi, or the people of Ammon) could be safe from the assaults of their former countrymen.
