Plates of Zeniff are the plates containing the record of Limhi’s people from their departure from Zarahemla. Limhi caused “the plates which contained the record of his people” to be brought before Ammon so that Ammon could read them (Mosiah 8:5).
Mosiah later “did read, and caused to be read, the records of Zeniff to his people.” These records covered “the people of Zeniff, from the time they left the land of Zarahemla until they returned again” (Mosiah 25:5).
Mosiah preserved the records received from Limhi with the plates of brass and the plates of Nephi. The collection also contained written records from “the plates of gold which had been found by the people of Limhi” (Mosiah 28:11).
