Coriantum²

Coriantum was the son of King Emer and the sixth generation after Jared, the founder of the Jaredite nation. Emer, an honorable and upright king, was privileged to behold the Son of Righteousness and in all things set a noble example for his son. “And it came to pass that Coriantum did walk in the steps of his father, and did build many mighty cities, and did administer that which was good unto his people in all his days”. Coriantum and his wife remained childless into old age. When his wife passed away, he took a “young maid” to wife and had many children, among whom was Com, who succeeded his father on the throne.
