Coriantum² was a Jaredite king’s descendant born into captivity, the son of Amnigaddah and the father of Com (Ether 10:31). His line had lost the throne three generations earlier: the kingdom was taken from Hearthom, who served the rest of his days in captivity, and his successors Heth, Aaron, and Amnigaddah each lived in captivity all their days (Ether 10:30-31).
Coriantum likewise dwelt in captivity all his days (Ether 10:31). His son Com drew away half the kingdom, reigned over it forty-two years, and fought Amgid for many years until he gained power over the remainder of the kingdom (Ether 10:32).
