Amnigaddah was a king in the Jaredite line, son of Aaron and father of Coriantum (Ether 1:14-15). Like his father Aaron and his grandfather Heth before him, he dwelt in captivity all his days (Ether 10:31).
The captivity ran through several generations of his family. It began when his great-grandfather Hearthom, after reigning twenty-four years, had the kingdom taken from him and served the rest of his life in bondage; the same condition passed to Heth, Aaron, and Amnigaddah in turn (Ether 10:30-31). The line was restored under Amnigaddah’s grandson Com, son of Coriantum, who drew away half the kingdom, reigned over it forty-two years, and through long war with the king Amgid gained power over the remainder (Ether 1:14-15; 10:31; 10:32).
