The brother of Shiblom was a Jaredite who rebelled against his brother’s reign; the record does not give his name. Shiblom, son of Com, reigned in his father’s stead, and the brother of Shiblom rebelled against him, starting a great war across the land (Ether 11:4).
He had all the prophets who prophesied the destruction of the people put to death (Ether 11:5). These prophets had warned that a great curse and destruction would come on the land and its people unless they repented of their wickedness (Ether 11:6).
