Nimrod²

Nimrod, the son of Cohor, and a member of the third generation after Jared, lived at a time when the Jaredite nation was divided into two kingdoms, one ruled by Cohor, a usurper, and the other by Shule. Cohor attempted to seize the kingdom of Shule but was slain. Nimrod, a man of more principle than his father, surrendered Cohor’s territory to Shule and thus “did gain favor in the eyes of Shule; wherefore Shule did bestow great favors upon him, and he did do in the kingdom of Shule according to his desires”.
