Nehor was a Jaredite land and city. Corihor, a son of Kib, rebelled against his father at the age of thirty-two and went to dwell in the land of Nehor, where he had sons and daughters and drew away many people after him (Ether 7:4). From there he gathered an army, marched on the land of Moron where the king dwelt, and took his father Kib captive (Ether 7:5).
Kib’s son Shule, born while Kib was in captivity, made swords of steel from the hill Ephraim, armed his followers, and returned to the city Nehor to give battle to his brother Corihor. He obtained the kingdom and restored it to his father Kib (Ether 7:9).
