Shez's Robber

In the sequence of Jaredite leaders, Shez is identified fairly early in the middle period as the son of Heth. Shez was a righteous king who “did walk in the ways of the Lord”. Unfortunately, his eldest son, also named Shez, did not follow the example of his father. Young Shez rebelled against his father but “was smitten by the hand of a robber, because of his exceeding riches, which brought peace again unto his father”.
