The servants in the household of King Lamoni’s father were present when the king, after Aaron taught him, prayed and was struck down as if dead. The servants ran and told the queen what had happened. When she came in and saw the king lying as if dead, with Aaron and his brethren standing as though they had caused his fall, she grew angry and commanded the servants to take and slay them (Alma 22:19). The servants, having seen the cause of the king’s fall, would not lay hands on Aaron and his brethren, and pled with the queen, asking why she would have them kill men when one of them was mightier than them all (Alma 22:20). When Aaron raised the king to his feet in the presence of the queen and many of the servants, they marveled and began to fear; the king then ministered to them, and his whole household was converted (Alma 22:22-23).
