Lamanite King¹

During Limhi’s reigns in the land of Nephi, the Lamanites unexpectedly draw near to the city, and attack. Limhi’s people capture the Lamanite King, who explains the attack is revenge for kidnapping their daughters. Limhi is confused, as he knows nothing about any Lamanite kidnapping. He starts an investigation. Gideon advises the king that the investigation be called off, and hypothesizes that Noah’s priests, who are still at large, are the ones responsible for the kidnapping. Limhi tells the king of the Lamanites all about his father, Noah, the events associated with his escape. The king believes Limhi, and he promises to persuade his army to stop the fighting. The king, along with Limhi, are successful in pacifying the army, and ending the battle.
