Gilead's Priest

In the story concerning Gilead, the power-hungry warrior who rose up in battle against Coriantumr, the last of the Jaredite kings, an unnamed high priest is mentioned in his relationship to Gilead and his secret compact. This high priest murdered Gilead as he sat on his throne. In turn the high priest was killed “in a secret pass” by an associate in the secret compact named Lib, who thereby seized control over the kingdom. Lib was later slain by Coriantumr.
