Cohor³

The story of Cohor, son of Noah, who was the son of Corihor, requires a brief recounting of his family’s exploits. During the reign of Shule, who was a righteous leader among the third generation after Jared, founder of the Jaredite nation , Shule’s older brother, Corihor, deposed and imprisoned his father, Kib. Shule, born later in captivity, raised up an army and defeated Corihor, restoring his father to the throne. Kib then placed Shule in charge of the kingdom. Corihor repented and was granted leadership power. However, one of Corihor’s sons, Noah, rebelled against and imprisoned his uncle Shule. The sons of Shule, in retaliation, slew Noah and restored their father to power on his own throne, while Noah’s son Cohor set up a kingdom of his own—thus dividing the nation into two factions. Cohor and his people attempted to overthrow Shule and take over the entire country, but Cohor was slain and the country reunited under Shule, a righteous leader.
