Hill Shim (Mesoamerica geography model)

Nephite locale, in the land of Antum. In A. D. 321 Ammaron deposited all of the sacred records of the Nephites in the hill Shim. He instructed young Mormon2 that when he turned twenty-four he should take from these records the plates of Nephi and continue the record. This Mormon did, but about A. D. 375 he was forced by Lamanite advances to remove all the records from Shim. A “hill of Shim” is mentioned once in the Jaredite abridgment by Moroni. Omer passed by the hill after the overthrow of his kingdom.
