Elam is named once in the Nephite record, in Nephi’s quotation of Isaiah, where it appears in a list of regions from which the Lord will recover the remnant of his people “the second time” in the last days: Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and the islands of the sea (2 Nephi 21:11). The record gives no further detail about Elam.
