Moroni’s Ladders at Nephihah are strong ladders and cords prepared by Moroni’s army to enter the city by descending from its wall. Moroni had them made “to be let down from the top of the wall into the inner part of the wall” while the opposing forces were asleep at the eastern entrance (Alma 62:21).
Moroni sent his men onto the wall and down on the west side, “where the Lamanites did not camp with their armies” (Alma 62:22). The men entered by night using the cords and ladders, and by morning they were within the city walls (Alma 62:23).
