Land of Midian (Internal geography model)

The Land of Midian, mentioned in the Book of Mormon, is a Lamanite territory situated east of Lehi-Nephi. This location served as a notable rendezvous point for Ammon2 and his brethren. As the scripture reference in Alma 24:5 recounts, Ammon and his group were made aware of a planned Lamanite attack on the Anti-Nephi-Lehies. In an attempt to address the impending crisis, they moved to this strategic location in Midian. From there, they journeyed to the land of Ishmael, where they sought to deliberate on the defense strategies with King Lamoni and his brother Anti-Nephi-Lehi. This indicates that the Land of Midian played a significant role in the accounts of the Book of Mormon, particularly in terms of facilitating key military decisions.
