Lamanite King's Servants

The king of the Lamanites was murdered around 72 BC by servants of the cold-blooded Nephite dissenter Amalickiah. Amalickiah claimed that it was the servants of the king who had committed the atrocity, whereupon those servants fled. “Now when the servants of the king saw an army pursuing after them, they were frightened again, and fled into the wilderness, and came over into the land of Zarahemla and joined the people of Ammon”. One of those who escaped was named Laman. He became a member of the military under Captain Moroni and assisted in retaking the city of Gid.
