Coriantum was a Jaredite king, the son of Emer, who anointed him to succeed as king (Ether 9:21). Emer lived four years after the anointing, saw peace in the land and the Son of Righteousness, and died in peace (Ether 9:22). Coriantum followed his father’s example, built many mighty cities, and governed his people well throughout his reign (Ether 9:23).
He had no children until he was very old (Ether 9:23). His wife died at the age of 102, after which Coriantum married a young woman in his old age and had sons and daughters (Ether 9:23-24); he lived to be 142 years old (Ether 9:24). His son Com succeeded him as king (Ether 9:25).
