Lamoni's Bed

Lamoni’s Bed is the bed upon which Lamoni was laid after he fell “unto the earth, as if he were dead.” His servants carried him in to his wife and “laid him upon a bed,” while his wife, sons, and daughters mourned over him (Alma 18:42–43).

After two days and two nights, people were about to take Lamoni’s body to a sepulchre made for burying the dead (Alma 19:1). His wife said that some considered him dead and that he “ought to be placed in the sepulchre,” but she said, “to me he doth not stink” (Alma 19:5).

Lamoni’s wife watched over “the bed of her husband” until the following day, when he was appointed to rise (Alma 19:11).
