Gideon Valley Army Tents are the tents pitched by Alma’s people in the valley of Gideon after Alma could pursue the Amlicites no longer. Alma “caused that his people should pitch their tents in the valley of Gideon,” which was called after Gideon, slain by Nehor with a sword (Alma 2:20).
The Nephites “did pitch their tents for the night” in the valley. The people of Nephi later took their tents and departed from the valley of Gideon toward Zarahemla (Alma 2:20; Alma 2:26).
