Land of Lehi’s Inheritance (Near East geography model)

The land of Lehi’s inheritance lay outside Jerusalem, where he left his house, “his gold, and his silver, and his precious things” when he departed into the wilderness (1 Nephi 2:4). His sons returned there to gather that treasure in their second attempt to buy the brass plates from Laban — and lost it all when Laban’s servants pursued them (1 Nephi 3:16, 22-26).
