            - 1 Nephi 11:1
- Nephi is spiritually taken to the top of a mountain. 
- 1 Nephi 11:2–3
- He meets the Spirit of God, who asks him what he wants—Nephi says he wants to see what his father saw. 
- 1 Nephi 11:4–5
- The Spirit asks Nephi if he believes his father’s words. Nephi does. 
- 1 Nephi 11:6–7
- The Spirit praises God and commends Nephi for his faith. 
- 1 Nephi 11:8–9
- Nephi sees the tree that Lehi saw. 
- 1 Nephi 11:10–11
- Nephi asks to know what the tree represents.

- The Spirit suddenly disappears.

- All of a sudden, Nephi sees the city of Jerusalem and a beautiful young woman; an angel appears to guide Nephi.

- The angel asks Nephi about what he understands about the Messianic prophesies; Nephi confesses his lack of knowledge and understanding.

- The angel explains that the young woman is the mother of the Son of God.

- The angel explains that the tree in Lehi’s vision represents Jesus, the embodiment of the love of God.

- Nephi sees the life of Jesus; the iron rod, the fountain, and the tree are all representations of Christ and his gospel.

- Nephi sees Jesus’ baptism.

- Nephi sees Jesus teaching his people, and his rejection.

- Nephi sees the twelve apostles.

- Nephi sees the miracles and healing of Christ.

- Nephi sees Jesus’ execution on the cross.

- Nephi then sees many nations and kingdoms of gentile nations.

- Nephi sees the formation of a great and abominable church.

- Nephi sees that riches and lucre are the cause of corruption.

- Nephi sees the waters separating the Gentiles from his brothers’ progeny, with whom God is angry.

- Nephi sees a certain man, along with other Gentiles, who cross the waters and discover those of Nephi’s brothers’ descendants who are in the promised land. 
- 1 Nephi 13:14–15
- Nephi sees the colonization of the promised land by Gentiles. 
- 1 Nephi 13:16–19
- Nephi sees that the Gentiles are blessed with divine providence.

- Nephi sees an unidentified book among the Gentiles. 
- 1 Nephi 13:23
- The angel explains that the book he sees is the record of the Jews. 
- 1 Nephi 13:24–27
- The angel says that that book contained God’s word, but had been corrupted and altered by evil men. 
- 1 Nephi 13:28–29
- The angel continues telling Nephi about corruptions in the book and how it caused trouble for many people. 
        	
            - 1 Nephi 13:30–32
- The angel says that God does not want his people to be in a corrupt state. 
- 1 Nephi 13:33–34
- God promises to bring forth much his kept-back gospel to the Gentiles 
- 1 Nephi 13:35–37
- Jesus Christ explains that Nephi’s civilization will compile a record containing God’s word, which will be unearthed at a future time, thus restoring those things which were lost. 
        	
            - 1 Nephi 13:38–39
- Nephi sees other holy books coming forth as well; the books validate, vindicate, and support one another. 
- 1 Nephi 13:40–41
- The angel explains further how these records have vital role in confirming the first record. 
- 1 Nephi 13:42 – 14:1–4
- Nephi sees that the Gentiles eventually accept Christ, and become part of the covenant people, who up till then has consisted exclusively of Jews. 
- 1 Nephi 14:5–7
- The angel The angel speaks of God’s mercy and a continued chance to repent. 
        	
            - 1 Nephi 14:8
- The angel reminds Nephi of God’s previous covenants with Israel. 
- 1 Nephi 14:9–10
- The angel emphasizes the consequences of affiliation with the great and abominable church. 
- 1 Nephi 14:11–12
- Nephi sees God’s church, few in numbers, in contrast with the monstrous influence of evil in the world. 
- 1 Nephi 14:13–15
- Nephi sees God’s anger towards the wicked. 
- 1 Nephi 14:16–17
- Nephi foresees a great battle against the wicked. 
        	
            - 1 Nephi 14:18–23
- Nephi sees John, one of Jesus’ Apostles . 
- 1 Nephi 14:24–27
- Nephi sees John writing the Apocalypse. 
- 1 Nephi 14:28–30
- Nephi is not allowed to write anything more of the things he saw or heard, and concludes the account of his vision.
