“Their Trials and Their Troubles, and Their Afflictions”

Jana Reiss

Just as the ancestors trusted in God and were delivered (verse 3), so too does Alma put his trust in God and expect deliverance (verse 27). And just as God supported the ancestors in all their “trials, and their troubles, and their afflictions,” so Alma testifies that he has been supported in his own “trials and troubles” and “afflictions” (verse 27).
