Last of all, Nephi learns the tragic truth about the great and spacious building. It turns out to be filled with the apostate house of Israel who have been perverted by the pride of the world. He saw that they had only contempt for the Savior and his Apostles. But suddenly Nephi saw that the great and spacious building totally collapsed and crumbled to the ground. The wicked Israelites who survived and escaped were scattered all over the world. In volume one of Treasures from the Book of Mormon on page 68 there is a representation of everything which Lehi saw in his vision and also a list of what each symbol represented.
