Ordinances are prescribed observances included in “a law of performances and of ordinances” given to the people. They were to observe this law “strictly from day to day” to keep them in remembrance of God and their duty toward him (Mosiah 13:30).
Alma said that high priests were called “with a holy calling” and “ordained with a holy ordinance.” This calling, ordinance, and high priesthood were described as “without beginning or end” (Alma 13:8).
