Amalickiah's Tent

Amalickiah’s Tent is the tent of the Lamanite king Amalickiah, pitched “in the borders on the beach by the seashore” after his forces were driven there. Teancum and his men pitched their own tents in the borders of the land Bountiful (Alma 51:32).

At night, Teancum entered Amalickiah’s camp while sleep had overpowered its occupants because of their fatigue (Alma 51:33). Teancum “stole privily into the tent of the king” and killed Amalickiah with a javelin to the heart (Alma 51:34).

On the first morning of the first month, the Lamanites found Amalickiah dead “in his own tent”. They also saw Teancum ready to give them battle that day (Alma 52:1).
