“Deny Not the Gifts of God”

Brant Gardner

Moroni has indicated that the Book of Mormon comes as one of Yahweh’s mercies and that it may be understood as true through the power of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is Yahweh’s gift. After the positive exhortation to accept the Book of Mormon, Moroni warns us against denying God’s gifts. The Book of Mormon comes to us as a witness of God, and we may receive it as he intended it—as a gift. However, Moroni warns those who deny this gift against the danger of their action. Many might accept the Bible as a gift of God but not accept the Book of Mormon as being that same kind of gift.
