“And Charity . . . Beareth All Things, Believeth All Things, Hopeth All Things, Endureth All Things”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

Charity is a godlike attribute. Charity evokes all the righteousness of Christ in our lives: patience, kindness, no envy, humility, temperance, good thoughts, rejoicing in righteousness, and being able to hope and endure all things. Let us seek this charity with all our hearts and pray with all the energy of our soul that we may be filled with it. As Paul said: “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal,” for charity “beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things” (1 Corinthians 13:1, 7).
