Mormon witnessed to his brethren that the things whereof he spoke are true; that angels did communicate with man on Earth, that the Holy Ghost bore record in men's hearts that there was no other name than the Name of Christ whereby man can be saved. And that as long as the Earth shall stand, "or there shall be one man upon the face thereof to be saved," these visits by holy angels and the power of the Holy Ghost would not cease among men to the end that "the purposes, of the Lord shall roll on, until all His promises shall be fulfilled?" (Ether 4:10)
