“A Sufficient Hope by Which Ye Can Enter into the Rest of the Lord”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
President Joseph F. Smith taught that once the Saints of God have gained a testimony which is unshakeable and which will allow them to confront the antagonists of the faith with confidence, they have in this life entered into the rest of the Lord. Theirs is a settled conviction of the truth which comes through their hope in Christ and the faith that he will in time bestow upon them the riches of eternity. (See Gospel Doctrine, pp. 58, 126.)
