To begin with, Mormon established his ability to speak unto the assembled congregation, and his authority for so doing. Being favored of God and our Lord Jesus Christ; in and through their kindness and mercy; it being Their will that I so do; having received from Them the blessings necessary unto this calling "I am permitted to speak unto you at this time."
