As Mormon taught us “it is by the wicked that the wicked are punished” (Mormon 4:4). The killing of men, women, and children also happened among the Nephites as they were destroyed (see Mormon 6:7–9). Just as Coriantumr was carried away as though he were dead (Ether 14:30), Mormon was wounded and the enemy passed by apparently assuming he was dead (Mormon 6:10). History does repeat itself if we do not learn from it.
