The Lord had an interesting response to Moroni's petition. He said the Gentiles would have the free agency to react according to their own feelings and Moroni should not worry about it if they did not accept the Nephite writings. The Lord said the important thing was for Moroni to bear his testimony so that the Gentiles would have no excuse. Moroni immediately responded by saying that he had a personal acquaintance with Jesus Christ and conversed with him as one person speaks to another. Moroni says he wishes he could tell the Gentiles all of the things the Savior had revealed to him but he does not have the capacity to write it.
