“If There Be No Faith, God Can Do No Miracle Among Men”

Brant Gardner

The “otherness” of God is manifest to humankind through miracles. When we see miracles that have no explanation but God, we accept them as evidence of God. Once again Moroni highlights the irony of the faith-process. Miracles may confirm faith, but only after we already have faith. “He showed not himself until after their faith” is an allusion to the Savior’s visit to the Nephites.
