The expected pattern of righteousness/prosperity reappears in the next generation. Kim does not follow Yahweh either. Enough negative events occurred in his reign that Moroni can moralize: “He was not favored of the Lord.”
Chronology: Using the average of thirty years, Kim would have ruled between 740 and 710 B.C. Interestingly, he was coregent with his father for eight years, following the precedent of Emer and Corianton noted earlier. (See commentary accompanying Ether 9:21–22.)
