“The House of Emer Did Prosper Exceedingly Under the Reign of Emer”

Brant Gardner

The sons of Akish had bribed the people with wealth; but under the righteous Emer’s rule, “the curse” is lifted and the house of Emer (and presumably the people as a whole) “did prosper exceedingly.” It is not clear how prosperity under Emer differed from wealth under Akish. For Moroni, the point is that Emer is righteous and therefore prospered.
