“Relationships”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

There are six principal figures in this complex and entangled chapter of Jaredite history. To ensure clarity, let us identify each and show in a genealogy chart how they are related to each other and to the patriarchal lineage of Jared and his son Orihah.

• Kib—grandson of Jared, the founder of the Jaredite nation (see Ether 1:32–33; 7:3).
• Corihor—one of the sons of Kib, who is the son of Orihah, who is in turn the son of Jared, the founder of the Jaredite nation (see Ether 1:31–33; 7:3). Corihor is therefore part of the third generation after Jared.
• Shule—a later son of Kib and great-grandson of Jared (see Ether 1:31–33; 7:7).
• Noah—son of Corihor (see Ether 7:14).
• Cohor—son of Noah (see Ether 7:20).
• Nimrod—son of Cohor (see Ether 7:22).
