“Three Hundred and Forty and Four Days Upon the Water”

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

The Jaredites were 344 days crossing the water. The Ark of Noah sheltered its tenants for one year and eleven days (Genesis 7:11 and 8:14). The inference is that the barges crossed the ocean at a parallel, where the "sea that divideth the lands" is wider than the Bering Sea, also known as the Sea of Kamchatka.
