Virtually all revelation form the Lord comes as both blessing and cursing. We are blessed to have the revelations if we receive them. However, if we “contend against the word,” we will be cursed for that effort. This particular promise of the duality of blessing and cursing is punctuated by the authority of the pronouncer. We have at this point the declaration that this promise comes directly through Jesus Christ. This is not Moroni’s promise. It is the Lord’s.
