When the vision was over, Ether was commanded to descend from the high mountain and write all that he had seen and heard. However, notice how strictly the Lord forbade him to share any of this vision with the people until after Jesus had been lifted up on the cross. It is interesting that when king Mosiah translated these record into Hebrew for the Nephites around 92 B.C., he revealed the general content of the history of the Jaredites but apparently he did not reveal anything concerning Mahonri Moriancumer's prophetic vision concerning the history of the world. Mosiah confirms this in Mosiah 28:17-18.
It is interesting that after Christ appear in his resurrected glory among the Nephites, he commanded that the great vision of Mahonri should be revealed to the people.
