When the Lord said the language in which Mahonri would write had been confounded, we assume he is referring to the Adamic tongue which had not be confounded among the Jaredites but had been confounded among all the other nations on earth. The Lord promised that in his own due time these stones would magnify or interpret what the Jaredites would record.
