“I Moroni Could Not Make a Full Account of These Things Which Are Written”

Redaction: These two verses technically repeat information from earlier in the chapter. However, earlier they described the event and here they describe Moroni’s reaction to the event. It is a different relationship to the text. Earlier, Moroni was retelling the story from Ether. Here he is retelling the story as himself and recording his own response. The importance of this experience for him is the power of faith, a lesson inescapably pertinent to his own condition.
