“The First Part of This Record Which Speaks Concerning the Creation of the World”

D. Kelly Ogden, Andrew C. Skinner

Moroni explained that since the historical report of Creation, Eden, and Adam down to Babel (approximately Genesis 1 through 10) is available in the biblical record and on the plates of brass, he omitted all that and commenced his abridgment at the time of the great tower. When we have access to the plates of brass, we will “get the full account” of those early events. We also know that Abraham possessed “records of the fathers” from the beginning (Abraham 1:28, 31).
