E. Cecil McGavin makes note in his book An Apology for the Book of Mormon, p. 161, that there are 810,697 words in the King James Version of the Bible, while in the Book of Mormon there are 350,100 words. The word "and" is found (as transition) 19,000 times in the Bible. Sixty percent of the verses in the Bible are connected by "and."
