“The Book of Ether”

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

In the Book of Ether, Moroni, the son of the Prophet Mormon, presents an account of the ancient inhabitants of America who were destroyed by the hand of the Lord in the "north country."

The land referred to is evidently that in which Moroni sojourned at the time he made his version of this Book, which land is also known as Desolation. It was probably in North America, where the Battle of Cumorah had been fought.

The account of Moroni's is, substantially, a summary of the translation of King Mosiah of the twenty-four gold plates found by the explorers of Limhi (Ether 1:6).
