“I Know That Ye Shall Have My Words”

Jana Reiss

Moroni’s voice—as it is contained in the words of this book—seems to come from the grave; as he puts it, “I speak unto you as though I spake from the dead.” He is speaking to the modern reader, but he has been dead for nearly sixteen hundred years. Incidentally, the 1981 edition reads, “you shall have my words,” not “you shall hear my words.”
