Thomas Mackay notes that in Mormon 9:22-25 we find that Moroni cites the Lord's injunction to his Nephite disciples or apostles: "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature . . ." This passage is parallel to Mark 16:15-18. Interestingly however, there is no full parallel in the New Testament for Mormon 9:25 ("Whosoever shall believe in my name, doubting nothing, unto him will I confirm all my words, even unto the ends of the earth") except in James 1:5-6. Moreover, Mormon 9:22-24 gives cause for scholars to accept the longer ending of Mark as authentic early Christian scripture, despite textual questions based on manuscript tradition. [Thomas W.
