“Ye Adorn Yourselves with That Which Hath No Life”

Brant Gardner

Moroni’s phrase “that which hath no life,” plays on the words and theme. Their costly apparel has no life. In these things there is no physical life, and there is no eternal life through wearing them. Those who lift themselves above others are denying the future life for the pleasures of the current life. The evidence of this is their separation from the rest of humanity, particularly those who might need their assistance—the hungry and the needy.
