“Their Prayers Were Also in Behalf of Him That the Lord Should Suffer to Bring These Things Forth”

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

The Lord having promised their fathers that the record of the Nephites should come forth to those who did survive among their Remnant, it was an almost constant prayer with them that God's servant who was to be the instrument in His hands to bring these Records forth, should be made strong and firm, and in every way be blessed that he may accomplish God's purpose in bringing them out of darkness into the light.

To one who doubted these things, Moroni became emphatic. "The Lord hath spoken it," and for that reason, no one need say, "They shall not." "Out of the earth shall they come, by the hand of the Lord, and none can stay it,")2 was his further elaboration.
