In regard to the things of this mortal sphere, as measured in terms of dollars, cents, or senines, the plates of the Book of Mormon are of little worth. But in regard to eternal things, as pertaining to God and his plan for the salvation of mankind, the message of the Book of Mormon is a vital and indispensable (and thus priceless) matter. Today a person’s salvation itself is at stake in whether he accepts or rejects that message.
